Proyecto
Mono Rojo
Proyecto Mono Rojo is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2025 and based in Colonia Juárez, one of Mexico City’s most vibrant and culturally active neighborhoods. From the outset, the gallery has committed itself to supporting a diverse and international roster of artists whose practices span painting, sculpture, installation, and beyond.
In its inaugural year, Proyecto Mono Rojo has already established a dynamic exhibition program — presenting two solo exhibitions at its own space on Marsella 70, one in November 2025 and one during Mexico City Art Week 2026, as well as participating in benefit auctions at the Castillo de Chapultepec.
The gallery operates with an experimental and curatorial spirit, bringing together artists from Mexico, Japan, the United States, and beyond. Proyecto Mono Rojo is directed by Jimena Antúnez and Olmo Aguirre, whose vision is rooted in building long-term relationships with artists and fostering genuine dialogue between local and international audiences.
